A.B. Venkateswara Rao is a retired 1989-batch IPS officer from Andhra Pradesh, recognized for his long career in law enforcement and intelligence. He holds an M.Tech. from IIT Delhi and a postgraduate degree in Economics, which strengthened his analytical approach to governance.

Over three decades, he served in several key roles, including Director General of Police (Intelligence) and Commissioner of Printing and Stationery, where he emphasized modernization, surveillance, and efficiency in policing. Internationally, he contributed to UN peacekeeping missions in Bosnia and Kosovo, earning a UN Medal. Known for his integrity, dedication, and commitment to justice, his service is widely respected for advancing effective governance and public security.
